Agathos supports Beam, the world’s first crowdfunding platform to help homeless people Wednesday, December 13th, 2017
Agathos CEO, William de Laszlo has joined Beam as an advisor. Beam is the world’s first crowdfunding platform aiming to help homeless people train up and get into work.
As well as rising numbers of rough sleepers, over 77,000 households now live in hostels and other temporary accommodation – 60% more than in 2011. Beam crowdfunds money for homeless people to undertake employment training, then supports them through employment training and into work. Beam members are referred through partnerships with more than 10 registered homelessness charities, including St Mungo’s, The House of St Barnabas and Thames Reach.
