Amaro successfully delivers major Thameslink programme
Amaro has completed the major Thameslink resilience programme as Principal Contractor.
This project involved the replacement / conversion of:
- 155 signal heads to Dorman LED
- 22 HW2000 point machines and associated cables
- 8 full set of clamplocks and associated cables
- 13 Reed Track Circuits to DC Medium Voltage Track Circuits
- 581 FDM Reed Units
- New Class II Micro FSP’s, Annexes and associated 650v/110v hybrid transformers across the LNE & EM Route.
The work was planned and delivered concurrently across the LNE & EM Routes with all planning carried out by Amaro’s in house planning team using PPS to plan all the possessions and isolations. All design works were managed by the Amaro Team and all testing and commissioning plans were produced by the Amaro testing team.
The Amaro planning team worked closely with the NR Route Planning teams attending the weekly possession planning and PICOP meetings as required. Throughout the project Amaro had various teams working at the same time carrying out the renewals which took a great deal of co-ordination and planning to ensure the project was delivered successfully.
