John joined Agathos in 2020 and is a Director in the Investment team. He leads on our cross-portfolio themes – such as data, AI, IT, cyber, finance, tax and governance – alongside completing and managing new investments or bolt-on acquisitions.

John is passionate about helping businesses strengthen their core foundations and build the capabilities needed for long-term success. He works on a cross-portfolio basis with management teams, external experts and service providers to unlock value across the Agathos portfolio.

John has been an investor in growing UK SMEs for over 8 years including his previous role at Connection Capital. Prior to that, he began his career at KPMG in London and gained international experience on secondment in Copenhagen. He has a degree in Mathematics and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and can be found ferrying them to-and-fro in the environs of St Albans. The issues of SEN and rare genetic disease are close to John’s family life and he supports relevant charities such as Playskill and the Sandcastle Trust via the Agathos Impact Foundation.
