Amaro completes cable diversions in Richmond

Amaro Signalling was awarded Principle Contractor by TFL to undertake the cable diversions and asset movements in and around the area of Richmond station signal Box and relay room. This was to allow a new signalling equipment room to be constructed as the current troughing route, cables and assets all sat in the footprint for the new building.

The scope of works initially undertook a full tag and trace survey, a new build and relocation of two signalling location cases with the inclusion of a new hard stand area. Checks on all locations cases in the area subsequently led to the upgrade of the 650v signalling power supplies in both the existing location case and the Relay Room, leading to the installation of a new Class II power enclosure and 650/110v transformers.

Planning was carried out by Amaro’s in house planning team using PPS to plan all the possessions. The Amaro planning team worked closely with TFL’s planning teams. Throughout the project Amaro had various disciplines working out on site which took a significant co-ordination and planning to ensure the project was successfully delivered.
